For the past 5 seasons, Psyonix has been organizing the Rocket League Championship Series to bring together the best teams in the competitive arena of the famous freestyle football title. But for this season 6, the publisher increases the pace and review the program with, in particular, a cashprize multiplied by four!

For almost 2 years and a half, the first five seasons of the Rocket League Championship Series, Pysonix, the game's publisher and organizer of the competition, had led its title among the most famous competitive games thanks to a league bringing together eight top teams from Europe and the United States, as well as the top four teams from the ocean region in three 250,000 $ twice a year finals championships.

In its recent press release announcing what's new with season 6 of the competition, the teams working on the game were particularly pleased with the growing success of their product among players, but also spectators of the competitive scene. Noting also the success of the last finals, played in the Copper Box Arena in London, and won by the team of French Alexandre "Kaydop" Courant: Team Dignitas.

But in parallel to this, the publisher announced to prepare great things for this new competitive season. Indeed, prize pool, the rewards have been increased since the winner of a season will now leave with the modest sum of $ 1,000,000, instead of $ 250,000 formerly distributed. For its part, the Rival Series prize pool, the second division of this championship, is also revised upwards and increased to the $ 100,000 level.

Finally, last but important novelty, after leaving aside public qualifications for some time, Psyonix has just announced the return of the Rival Series open qualifiers, a tournament allowing European or American players to try to find a place in the second division of the RLCS. Thus, by registering on the official website of the competition, you can participate in this qualifying tournament allowing the best players, still unknown in the professional scene, to make a name and try, with their team to join the Rocket League Rival Series.

For the format of these qualifications, players will be allowed to play two qualifying phases among the four organized for each region. Once the first qualifying stage has passed, the top 128 teams will be selected for the Play-In, a double elimination event where the winners will earn a place for the official Psyonix league. In addition, the publisher states that all players over the age of 15 and playing through a game Plus or Steam account are eligible to compete. Registrations are of course already open and will close on August 6, just before the start of the competition which is scheduled for August 11 and 12 according to the continent.
