Are you stuck at your current rank in Rocket League Solo Standard? Are you asking for help in Solo Standard? In this guide, we give you some specific strategies that we feel like would be much help to new and all players who are trying to rank up, also sum up few tips on how to handle certain types of players in Solo Standard.

Rocket League Solo Standard Tips

Rocket League Solo-Standard/Queuing Tips/Strategies

To help new players/people who are stuck at their current rank in Solo Standard or whatever rank if Solo Queuing, one player named JDMToEkNeE who grinded from Challenger II to Solo Standard rank of All Star shared below useful tips:

1) The most important tip, which should be the most obvious is that you must rotate. In Solo Standard, you can see many people all playing very offensive and up, or people following their teammates/be right behind them the entire time. If you see two of your teammates up, maybe stay back a little, you don't have to be in your net, but stay somewhere either mid-field, or stay in your color side field. Even when you're attacking, make sure that when you have no , or feel like you're out of position, just leave and if your teammate knows how to rotate, he'll be ready to move in while you're back.

2) Next tip would probably be patience. It ties in with the first tip. Don't go for a shot if you're the last one back, because if you miss, you would be putting your team out of play unless one of them can get back in time, especially if you might miss.

3) You need to have trust in your team. Many people go for shots that another teammate can already take/have a better shot at. Also another time this happen is when everyone goes for a save, then everyone will be out of play for the next hit that they do on your net. You just really need to put some trust in those teammates, otherwise someone will be put out of play. Sometimes your team will miss it though, but that's fine, everyone has those moments, even you!

3.5) This sort of ties in with the previous tips, but if you see your teammate already in the air, don't go for a shot then, just head back to the ground.

4) A big tip is don't be a douchebag. A lot of teammates start to bm or talk trash to their own teammates, it only makes things worse! Sometimes it might make them not want to try. Also don't be that guy either. Just because you try and forfeit, and they say no, don't be a douche and stop, just try, you never know! You might get a Sick! Comeback!

5) Also be confident in yourself. If you think you're going for a shot, chances are, your teammate may think you are too, so if you decide to turn around and not go for it, it could really put your team out of position.

6) Don't ball chase. (Pretty much Tip#1) People who ball chase very difficult to deal with, because they're the only one playing the game on your team and profiting off of a 3v1 is very hard to do. You also seem to find them sort of the more rude side people, they will often then complain and say something along the lines of how his team sucks and they need to step up their game, but that's sort of hard to do when they're ball chasing. They believe they need to ball chase because they must carry the team. Your team is there for a reason, they're suppose to support you, and playing as a team will only help you win the game, but make you better at the same time.

Tips For Dealing With Challenging Players in Solo Standard

In Solo Standard, you can meet some challenging players who are hard to deal with, how to play to their strengths? Below are some tips for handling certain types of players in Solo Standard, which shared by Optimus_Prime-:

The Ball Chaser

Runs around like a puppy. Let them chase. Stay at least a quarter of the field away from them, ideally at an angle. So you're behind them but also to the side. They tend to get into a lot of 50/50s and like to smash the ball against the wall. So the ball will likely come back to you if you're behind at an angle.

The Brown-Noser

Rides up your butt since they have no trust in anyone, least of all you. Prove to them you can hit the ball cleanly and not always directly to the other team. If that doesn't work, try quickly popping the ball up for them to attack and rotate out as quick as you can.

Your Blind Twin

Seems to be in the same place as you on every play. Unlike The Brown-Noser, they don't mistrust you, they just don't see you. They are seeing the play and reading it the same as you, but have not figured out where you and they should be in the rotation. When it first starts, try to be assertive with your "car language" that it's your ball. If it's persistent, let them take the lead and fall back; they obviously have tunnel vision and it's better to have less efficient rotations than double-commit.

The Turtle

Hides in goal for most of the game, only coming out for the easiest counters. Let them hide. Don't go into goal and bump them out or incessantly quick chat that you're defending. You can try once to get into the back post and message you're defending. If they don't get the hint or are stubborn, just cut your rotations short and make it super obvious so you don't end up double-committing. That said, look for them when they do come out. They'll appreciate the inclusion and may not be so shy in the future.

The Lost Soul

Seems to be totally lost on the pitch. Drives backwards at the most inopportune time. Hesitates and then goes up for a ball and whiffs. You wonder how in the world did they make it to this rank. Pity them. Don't be mean. Either they're having a really bad day, or they inadvertantly placed into that rank recently and are just struggling to stay afloat. They obviously weren't carried, so cut them some slack. Be positive when they do something good. Play a little closer to them to support them, but not so close you become The Brown-Noser. Give them nice easy passes when you can, but don't expect them to finish. Just stay positive about it. Remember we're all here to enjoy this great game.
