Rocket League New XP & Progression Systems - Progression Should Feel Like Progress Again?

In the developer's official roadmap, the upcoming feature has always been titled "Progression Update". The name is also Progression. While newcomers and occasional riders are still hard at work releasing all standard items and increasing their level quite quickly, veterans of the game are finding it increasingly difficult to find motivation. If you move so far in the range of level 50 upwards, up to the current maximum level 75, pulls the XP bonuses namely like an extremely persistent chewing gum. Even after hours of play, the level bar hardly progresses.

This is exactly where the upcoming update for all platforms comes in: Progress should be rewarded again. To do this, Psyonix quickly removes the level cap, adds new titles, and you can drop new items by splitting them up. Furthermore, you will finally be able to create so-called clubs. There you can add yourself and joy and from then on you can play matches under a common clan day. Also new are free-play frames for the player avatar. The long-awaited update will be released on August 29, so next Wednesday at the same time for all platforms. On Steam, the update in this country is released according to experience at 19 clock with the store update. Unfortunately, we can only guess if the eShop is faster.

How Does It Continue After Progression Update? What is the next Rocket League Update?

For more details about the upcoming update and content of the game you can find on Rocket League New Roadmap!

As always Psyonix shines with exemplary transparency. About a week after the release of the progression update, a rather controversial feature will be added later: The Rocket League Rocket Pass. This is based on the same principle as the passes for Fortnite, PUBG and other current games. Although you can level this up for free, but only receives a fraction of mostly unattractive items. Against a seasonal cost of about 10 euros, you can upgrade the Rocket Pass here, so even more to be rewarded for diligent playing. Whether you like this concept or not, the fact is, the Rocket Pass, along with the progress update, is driving the replay value of Rocket League tremendously. The update for the Rocket Pass is expected for the 36th calendar week, around September 5th.

In the distant future, a manufacturer's own system will be established to enable Rocket League cross-platform parties: the Rocket ID. So far, you can coincidentally be matched with players from other platforms, but you can not yet consciously play together. With the Rocket ID, it should then finally be possible to invite friends of other platforms to joint matches, similar to how it has also solved Epic at Fortnite. Thanks to the artificial barrier of certain console manufacturers, however, not ALL players can play together. Hello Sony!
